Latest News: West Coast News (The Game, Crooked I, and more!) |
|
It's official that Crooked I's Hip Hop Weekly - Week 52 will be something like a 300 Bars type deal. DJ Skee has already hooked up the beats, and this will bang out your speaker. As you know a Mega Mix of The Game's song Big Dreams by Ill Will has recently leaked, but very distorted since the volume levels where all over the place. Andima will be leaking the CD Quality version next week for you to bump in your speakers, since the one DubCNN leaked wasn't up to par. Also, in regards to L.A.X., this album will definetly feature someone we haven't seen since the first album. I'll leave you to figure that out.

Afeni Shakur has responded to the L.A. Times article which falsely revealed Tupac's attackers in '94. The article was basically about how Sabatino supposedly had a hand in the shooting, using false evidence to support the claims. L.A. Times has since apologized for the article. Afeni's response was: "We will continue to work to save the lives of our young people and to offer peaceful alternatives to violence and conflict resolution. That is what we have done since the murder of my son, and that is exactly what we will consciously continue to do.". Keep it locked on The WCA for more updates.

I know 50 Cent isn't west coast, but there isn't SHIT going on in the west coast today. So we hit it up on the east coast today, telling you about the new game coming out for the Playstation 3 and the XBOX 360 entitled 50 Cent: Blood On The Sand. It's a sequel to 50 Cent's last game on the Playstation 2 50 Cent: Bulletproof which blew chunks out the ass. But I'm not here to review his last game, just here to give you the news of a sequel. Keep on the look out for the new video game because if you liked his last game, then you might want to pick this one up as well. But always be sure to rent before you buy!
Also, click here to view a video with more details on the new game.

The entire West Coast Aftershock family would
like to say R.I.P. Eazy E. I know we have never done this before on the
site, but Eazy E was one of the most influential figures in West Coast
Rap and Rap in general. The month of his death Eazy E had became
terminally ill with A.I.D.S. Eazy E fought a long battle against
A.I.D.S. teaching people to become aware about A.I.D.S. and how it is
transmitted. Today, is the day when thirteen years ago Eazy E died of
A.I.D.S. It was and still is a sad day, but Eric's legacy will forever
carry on through his family and loving fans. If you support Eazy E,
please be sure to pour out a lil' liquor for him tonight of all nights.
Now, please allow me to share with you one of my favorite songs of Eazy
E's.
Click here to listen and view the video of Eazy-er Said Than Done by Eazy E.

Edit: Also, you can click here to see my favorite video of Eazy E's. R.I.P. Eazy.

Alright, I heard from my boys Sharif and CRMusic over at For The People Entertainment today. They stated this new Sam Sneed will contain 12 tracks and feature a remix of You Better Recongize.
In other news, the real album was completed and was mastered in Can Am
Studios, but features 16 tracks. So, I wouldn't suggest buying this
album, because the real one will most likely come out eventually. This
is just a public service announcement from Kilo2 the REAL Street
Scholar. - Signed Kilo2 (The Street Scholar and owner of the NEW West Coast Aftershock)

You heard me right, we are coming out with a new tape called West Coast Aftershock Volume 4: Tha Throwbacc's. Not sure who we will have hosting, but it is sure to be out in the next few months. We plan on having quite a bit of old exclusive tapes for your ass from our vaults as well as some new shit on the Real Hip Hop mixtape we got coming out over on Jason's site Real Hip Hop Uncut. Oh, and to let you guys know, we ain't tripping over any player hating anymore. You guys can have your dated 10 year old ass artist! It's cool. There ain't no use bringing out guns over dead icons and a dead ass dead beat company that died in 2005. If you want staff on West Coast Aftershock, hit me on my e-mail by clicking here, and we MIGHT get back to your ass if you can meet my standards. You might get paid for your work if you don't wimp out like many former staff members. I would like to give ups to my people The Shadow, Nino Brown, and Jason for holding me down these last few years, so I don't go off on a fucking killing spree. Be sure to keep it locked to West Coast Aftershock, unless you want to visit some half assed sites stealing all the news off Myspace. - Signed Killz/Kilo2 (WCA Gangsta)
