\u201cIf you don\u2019t change the name back, we\u2019re going to take away your liquor license because the names need to match,\u201d he said, explaining why the \u201cApex Social\u201d rebrand did not remain in place.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cTo have longevity, you have to be embedded in the culture of the people that you are serving,\u201d Ellis said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cWe couldn\u2019t do this without the community,\u201d Aminu added, noting ongoing efforts like themed happy hours aimed at everyday professionals.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

For attendees, the experience extended beyond entertainment into something more personal.<\/p>\n

Jeremy Calloway, a chef who goes by Chef Jeremy and co-owns a catering business called Waltz with his brother Corey Eborn, said the night resonated on multiple levels.<\/p>\n

\u201cHonestly, I love to see that it was like two brothers figuring out their odds and coming together and building a really successful business,\u201d Calloway said. \u201cThe food is great\u2026 I know they have a long road ahead of them, but with their attitude and what they were able to express on stage, they are going to definitely be successful.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He added that the experience left him inspired in his own entrepreneurial journey.<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cMy takeaway is just, I\u2019m inspired. I want to be able to do the same thing in the near future,\u201d he said. \u201cWith what I was able to gain from what they said tonight, I\u2019d definitely be able to do that.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

New Chef Debut Introduced\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The watch party also marked the debut of new chef Brandon Nathan<\/a>, a self-taught chef bringing a renewed energy to the Bar 44 kitchen.<\/p>\n

Nathan, who said he has long experience in the space, emphasized that his approach is rooted in creating an environment that feels welcoming and familiar.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh no, no, definitely not. No, I\u2019ve been doing it for a while,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He described the dining experience as intentionally more relaxed than traditional restaurant settings.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe experience is more like wide open\u2026 backyard, chilling, having a good time\u2026 versus fine dining where you gotta be suited and booted,\u201d Nathan said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While the atmosphere may be laid back, Nathan made clear that presentation and quality remain key priorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe presentation is good here as well,\u201d he said. \u201cYou make it big, so it could be presentable to the eye.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Nathan also reflected on his recent return to the kitchen, describing it as a personal reset.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod put me back in it\u2026 and as soon as I got back in, it\u2019s like I reactivated myself,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He pointed to his boom boom shrimp as a standout dish, highlighting both flavor and visual appeal.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love it\u2026 you mix it all up real good\u2026 then put that boom boom sauce on, little zigzag\u2026 parsley make everything look good,\u201d Nathan said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When the owners were asked what advice they would offer aspiring business owners, both leaders emphasized resilience.<\/p>\n

\u201cBe resilient\u2026 don\u2019t give up on what you believe in,\u201d Aminu said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cTeamwork makes the dream work. No one can do it all by yourself,\u201d Ellis added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
