Cardi B<\/a> went through a serious transformation last year, so much so, that she feels like a completely different person now. <\/p>\n

The \u201cBodak Yellow\u201d rapper stopped by Good American CEO Emma Grede\u2019s podcast, Aspire, this week, where she opened up about all of the changes in her life recently.<\/p>\n

Grede asked Cardi what the last few years of her life have \u201cfelt like,\u201d which led to Cardi explaining just how different every year has been.<\/p>\n

\u201cEvery year is different, but I feel like last year, a new person was reborn. I don\u2019t know if it was the divorce or\u2026something just woke me up and I feel like I\u2019m definitely a new person.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That led to the rapper going on an inspiring tangent about her new lease on life, sharing her sense of urgency when it comes to taking advantage of her \u201cmoment.\u201d While she didn\u2019t directly connect the two, it seems like leaving her marriage has given her a different outlook on life and opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t even know how to explain it\u2026I have to do things for myself now, for real. And I gotta take things serious, for real. It\u2019s like now or never,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

When asked about her sense of urgency, Cardi responded: \u201cI\u2019m 33 years old, I\u2019m in my Jesus year\u2026It\u2019s like God is telling me, it\u2019s now or never. Take advantage of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While speaking further about taking advantage of the opportunities presented to her, Cardi talked about her highly-anticipated haircare line, Grow Good Beauty, which is focused on repairing and growing hair.<\/p>\n

Grede mentioned all of the competition in the celebrity hair care space, specifically naming Beyonc\u00e9\u2019s C\u00e9cred, Tracee Ellis Ross\u2019 Pattern Beauty, and Rihanna\u2019s Fenty. Cardi didn\u2019t mind giving other brands their flowers, though, insisting that people will use what actually works.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not even about competition, it\u2019s about what\u2019s gonna have your hair growing,\u201d the rapper said. \u201cLike, I use C\u00e9cred and it\u2019s very f***ing good! And that\u2019s what I want\u2026I want people to be like, \u2018Yo, her s**t is really f***ing good!\u2019 I don\u2019t want nobody to complain.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\u201cPeople have seen my hair transition\u2026I\u2019ve been doing my hair on liver since like 2016,\u201d she continued, going on to reference a \u201cDominican recipe\u201d she\u2019s been using on her hair for years, which involves boiling onions and using that water on her hair.<\/p>\n
