Shyne has publicly responded to Brandy\u2019s denial that they were ever romantically involved, telling TMZ<\/em> that her version of events is inaccurate. The story resurfaced after Shyne and Ma$e discussed dating Brandy around the same period during an episode of the podcast It Is What It Is<\/em>. Brandy swiftly issued a statement refuting the claims. She described their connection as strictly platonic.<\/p>\n

Shyne defended his account. He emphasized that his recollections come from admiration. \u201cI spoke from a place of admiration and a place of reminiscing on my experience with her, which I didn\u2019t care to highlight the negatives, it was only positive,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t know what is wrong with her.\u201d He also noted a past incident in which Brandy apologized on Oprah<\/em> after misrepresenting her marital status to protect her public image. \u201cShe lied to Oprah about being married and had to go on Oprah and apologize because she said she did that to protect her image\u2026 I can\u2019t get in her mind. I\u2019m just saying that she has lied to the public before to protect her image, and maybe the fact that she was seeing both Mase and I at the same time, she feels it\u2019s not good for her image.\u201d<\/p>\n
