The Art of Glam Awards<\/a>, presented by Camille Rose, rolled out the pink carpet at the Maybourne Hotel in Beverly Hills for an evening dedicated to honoring the visionaries behind the scenes and all your faves sizzled and slayed the carpet. <\/p>\n

Oscar-winning costume director Ruth Carter<\/a>, trendsetting celebrity hairstylists Tym Wallace, Sheika Daley, and Camille Friend, celebrity groomer John Mosley, and designers Vincent Smith and Sergio Hudson were among the honorees.<\/p>\n

Kelly Rowland<\/a>, Jackie Aina, Da\u2019Vine Joy, Durand Bernarr and Samuel L. Jackson were on deck to present them their awards and offer thoughtful insights into their impacts on the culture. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe have to celebrate the people that make it possible for the glam, and there\u2019s so much that goes on behind the scenes that we aren\u2019t shedding a light on, so I\u2019m happy to be here to represent it because I\u2019m usually behind the camera,\u201d said Ruth Carter on the pink carpet.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Carter is nominated for \u201cBest Costume Designer\u201d at this year\u2019s Academy Awards, but according to the legendary wardrobe wizard, she\u2019s already won. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m already a winner right now just to have made history as the most-nominated black woman and woman in Academy history. That, that\u2019s a win. And so I\u2019ll take that. My colleagues are brilliant as well, and we\u2019re all celebrating each other leading up to the Oscars. So I think we\u2019ll applaud the winner. I just don\u2019t want anyone to feel that, you know, something is diminished or taken away from me because I\u2019m already winning right now.\u201d<\/p>\n
