A certain M\u00c5D H\u00c5TT\u0112R is reaffirming that marriage is not his ultimate goal. During a recent appearance on the Talk Les Show<\/em> podcast, Cam Newton<\/strong>,<\/a> once again, made it crystal clear that wedding bells were not in his playbook.\u00a0\u201cFind where the ring was in the bible,\u201d said the former footballer. <\/p>\n

Cam Newton slams marriage once again, says he doesn\u2019t want to make anyone feel like a \u201chostage.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Newton, who shares nine children with three different women, explained that marriage just isn\u2019t for him. Not because he\u2019s anti-love or anti-commitment. The Funky Friday<\/em> host explained that he just doesn\u2019t want to make anyone feel like a \u201chostage.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n

\u201cI want to be around who want to be around me,\u201d Cam, 36, told<\/strong> <\/a>host Courtside Les during their interview on Feb. 26 when asked if he would marry multiple women at once. \u201cSo if it\u2019s five [women], if it\u2019s six, if it\u2019s one. I like volunteers. I don\u2019t like hostages.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

That wasn\u2019t all. When asked to reiterate his thoughts, Newton doubled down with the calm confidence of a quarterback reading a defense:<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it to be anything. I like volunteers, not hostages. I want people around me who want to be around me, and I want them around me.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

To be fair, he also made it clear that he doesn\u2019t want to be anyone\u2019s captive either. Equality matters. At the end of the day, Newton shared that he just wants to be in a relationship with someone who truly makes him \u201chappy.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want you to be happy. And if I\u2019m the person that\u2019s bringing you happy, you can have marriage with no commitment. And you don\u2019t have to have marriage to have a commitment,\u201d the former football star said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The former NFL star added that he would be fine without getting married as long as he had his \u201clife partner.\u201d<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Before switching to another topic, Courtside Les pondered if Newton would ever regret never getting married, and of course, the podcaster made it clear, again, that he would be just \u201cfine\u201d if he never walked down the aisle, as long as he had his \u201clife partner,\u201d by his side, which he has appeared to have found with longtime girlfriend Jasmin Brown.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople always try to make that weird to understand,\u201d he said of having a longtime partner with no marriage commitment.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Now, in case you\u2019re wondering whether this is just talk, Newton\u2019s life suggests he\u2019s fully committed to his philosophy. He recently <\/strong>welcomed his ninth child<\/strong><\/a> <\/strong>\u2014 and second with comedian Jasmin Brown \u2014 in October 2025. The couple\u2019s firstborn arrived in March 2024.<\/p>\n

Back in August, on his Funky Friday<\/em> podcast, he admitted to wanting more children, but marriage? That\u2019s another story. At the time, he shared that his hesitation boiled down to one very relatable fear: divorce<\/strong><\/a>, a comment that drew backlash on social media.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just want God to bring them,\u201d Newton explained during his 2024 episode with Dr. Cheyenne Bryant. \u201cMy point is this: my desire to get married is lower than my fear of divorce. As you would say it \u2014 you said it, I didn\u2019t say it, I will agree \u2014 I\u2019m just taking my time.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Despite the former athlete\u2019s fears, Jasmin <\/strong>appeared to show support<\/strong> <\/a>for her man amid the drama, telling fans in an Instagram Story video that year that she loved being \u201ca servant.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cI love being a servant, I love to serve,\u201d Jasmin said to the camera in part. \u201cIt just brings me joy. I love it. I love serving\u2026 I don\u2019t give a damn\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He also shared some interesting thoughts about wedding rings during the <\/strong>Talk Les Show<\/em><\/strong>.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

But wait \u2014 there\u2019s more. Cam Newton also tackled the hot topic of engagement rings during his Talk Les Show<\/em> appearance, and let\u2019s just say, he had some interesting thoughts. The podcaster argued that wedding rings weren\u2019t necessary.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want you to listen and play this back because this is how most women sound, \u2018I just want a ring, I just want a ring, I just want a ring.\u2019 Well, why? \u2018Because of marriage, \u2019cause of marriage\u2019\u2026 Find where the ring was in the Bible,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He continued, <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not going to be bullied into giving a gift because that\u2019s what it sounds like. It sounds like you\u2019re trying to corner a cat.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

At this point, Cam Newton\u2019s stance on marriage isn\u2019t exactly breaking news \u2014 but he\u2019s certainly consistent.<\/p>\n
