GENA, the duo of Liv.e and Karriem Riggins, announce their headline US and UK tour beginning next month. Stretching across the US in April and the UK to follow in August, Liv.e and Karriem are embarking on their first tour under their GENA moniker after they made their sold-out live debut in London to rave reviews in January. The duo first teased their work together as GENA over a series of sporadic live shows over the course of 2025, including in New York City at Karriem\u2019s residency at Nublu and the Detroit Jazz Festival. Presale tickets are on sale today beginning at 10am local time and general on sale for the tour begins on Thursday, March 5th at 10am local time.<\/span><\/p>\n

GENA\u2019s debut album, The Pleasure Is Yours, was released last week.<\/strong><\/a><\/span> A kinetic amalgamation of two very distinct and spirited musical identities, Liv.e & Karriem\u2019s debut as GENA represents the duo finding and developing a musical language together, including its early singles \u201cCirclesz\u201d<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, \u201cHOWWEFLOW\u201d, \u201cLead it Up\u201d<\/strong><\/a><\/span>, and \u201cDouwannabwithastar!\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Pleasure Is Yours is an expertly crafted and mischievous exploration of the contours of contemporary soul, R&B and hip-hop, guided by a series of virtual sessions that pieced the album together. Karriem\u2019s masterful percussive framework gave Liv.e the opportunity to be herself, serving as a conduit for her to find rhythms organically and imaginatively fill the spaces that Karriem built for her experimentation. The album also includes contributions from musicians like Isaiah Sharkey, James Francies and Telemakus, each complementing the duo\u2019s budding style with their own.<\/span><\/p>\n
