The battle for who is responsible for the negative effects of\u00a0America\u2019s Next Top Model<\/em>\u00a0has reached a fever pitch.\u00a0While Netflix\u2019s recent docuseries\u00a0Reality Check<\/a><\/em>\u00a0offered a somewhat polished look at the franchise\u2019s history,\u00a0a rival documentary is promising to strip away the filter.\u00a0In a blistering new interview for E!\u2019s upcoming series\u00a0Dirty Rotten Scandals<\/em>,\u00a0model and former judge\u00a0Janice Dickinson\u00a0launched an attack on Tyra Banks<\/a>,\u00a0claiming the show was less of a modeling competition and more of a platform for humiliation and torture designed to feed Banks\u2019 ego.<\/p>\n

Dickinson, now 71, served as a judge for the first four seasons of the hit reality show. Known during her tenure for her sharp tongue and brutal honesty regarding contestants\u2019 weight and appearance, she now claims that her persona was largely manufactured and mandated by the show\u2019s creator, according to Daily Mail UK<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe producers, especially Tyra, were begging me to be harsher and cruel, like Simon Cowell was on\u00a0American Idol,\u201d Dickinson shared. She alleges that while she took the heat for being the mean one, it was Banks who was pulling the strings behind the scenes.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

In the footage for\u00a0Dirty Rotten Scandals<\/em>,\u00a0Janice Dickinson\u00a0pulls no punches, labeling the now 52-year-old Banks a \u201chardcore b***h.\u201d Dickinson claims that Banks\u2019 treatment of the young women on the show was rooted in a deep-seated competitiveness and jealousy. <\/p>\n

Instead, Dickinson claims, \u201cAmerica\u2019s Next Top Model really tortured these girls for Tyra\u2019s ego.
