Wu-Tang Clan Co-Founder, Oliver \u2019Power\u2019 Grant\u2019s death was confirmed by the group on social media on Wednesday (Feb 25).<\/strong><\/a><\/span> He was 52 years old.<\/span><\/p>\n

It has now been confirmed in a statement from Grant\u2019s family and the Wu-Tang Clan, shared with Rolling Stone, that he died after a \u201ccourageous and hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cA true fighter until the end, he was surrounded by his mother, his children, his family, and his closest friends,\u201d read the tribute, which praised Grant as a \u201cproud product of the Park Hill neighborhood.\u201d Grant was raised in the Park Hill projects of Staten Island, New York, alongside the future members of the Wu-Tang Clan.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cFrom those streets, he rose to become a visionary force, a pillar of the Wu-Tang family, and a global architect of culture,\u201d the statement continued.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt was the honor of his life to pour his love, wisdom, and brilliance into his family and his community. His impact was singular; there will never be another to take his place.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cPower will always be loved, and his legacy will forever remain,\u201d his family and the Wu-Tang Clan continued before sharing a quote: \u201cGreatness is not what you have, but what you give.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
