Federal prosecutors have charged rapper EBK Jaaybo, whose legal name is Jaymani Gorman, in connection with a firearm that investigators say links to a nonfatal shooting involving rival Bay Area artist DreamlifeRizzy, according to recently unsealed court records.
A federal grand jury in Little Rock returned a seven-count indictment in June 2025 accusing Gorman of possessing a loaded Glock pistol recovered during a May 2025 traffic stop. The indictment remained sealed for months before a judge ordered it unsealed earlier this year. Gorman remains in federal custody while the case proceeds.
According to investigators, forensic analysis tied the recovered firearm to a shooting that injured DreamlifeRizzy, whose legal name is Jarico Anderson. Authorities allege the attack occurred roughly two months before the Arkansas traffic stop that led to the weapon’s recovery.
Police said Anderson was driving eastbound on Highway 24 near the Broadway exit when gunfire erupted from a passing vehicle. Investigators believe at least two shooters opened fire from a Hyundai. Anderson sustained gunshot wounds to both legs.

After the shooting, Anderson went to an Oakland hospital for treatment. Authorities said he declined to identify suspects or provide details about the motive.
“He denied knowing who shot him or why,” authorities said in investigative records referenced in the case.
Doctors treated Anderson for two gunshot wounds before releasing him from the hospital.
Investigators later sought DNA evidence as part of the probe. Officers with the California Highway Patrol traveled to Arkansas with a warrant seeking DNA samples from Gorman, according to court filings.
Authorities are attempting to compare those samples with forensic evidence collected during the Oakland shooting investigation.
The shooting drew further attention after Anderson released a diss track titled “EBK Killer,” referencing the Stockton-based EBK crew.
Investigators also reviewed social media posts connected to the artists during the investigation. Before the shooting, Anderson posted a photograph with the caption “H2K,” which he described as shorthand for “hard to kill.”
The investigation remains ongoing.
