TLC’s Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas is setting the record straight on her support for MAGA after public records revealed she not only donated to Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign but also to several other right-wing-leaning organizations. Over the weekend, the “Waterfalls” singer jumped on Instagram to offer clarification on her political stance.
“I WANT TO BE CLEAR: I am not MAGA and do not support any of the many policies that are causing great harm to the American people,” she wrote. “I made a mistake too many make: I did not read the fine print. I thought I was supporting causes against human trafficking and for veterans,” she continued.
She added, “Two things I care deeply about, as my dad is a veteran, and everyone knows I love children. I have learned a valuable lesson and ask for grace as I navigate this. Love, Chilli.” Along with a written post, Chilli shared a video offering further clarification. In the video, the singer also addressed a post she shared about a conspiracy theory linked to former first lady Michelle Obama.
