The Mayo-Zetas Mob Fragments in Zacatecas

“Sol Prendido” for Borderland Beat

Ah, the infamous snitching before a camera while pertaining to a famous cartel.

You would think these guys should just stick to making their illicit money without any of the drama involved.

Instead what we get are bruised egos and differences that can only be settled with bloodshed every time shit goes sideways in their world.

It’s to be expected though. Fast money always comes with its own set of problems. The adage is as old as time itself.

Assassins who were formerly affiliated with the Cabrera and Mayito Flaco mobs speak out against their peers because of unfulfilled

agreements and atrocities that should never have happened.

Video translation is as follows:

Mayito Flaco and the Cabrera brothers: when all of us present here first joined your organization, everything was different.

Families, innocent people, and society were respected. There were no extortions or kidnappings, and our wages were paid on time.

Suddenly, all of that changed. As leaders of your organization, you know perfectly well what your commanders are doing under orders from Olegario, Sierra, Pariente, Lobo Güero, Bruno, Sargento, and the others.

You have become even worse than the Zetas. And just so you know who is speaking: we are people loyal to “El 71″—the man whose family was killed while riding in a passenger van along Highway 44 toward Valparaíso.

Sargento, do you remember when we clashed with the rival faction from “El Trojes”? You were crying, and “El 80” had to come in to provide backup for you; yet, despite that, you remained ungrateful.

You used to kill people loyal to “El Flechas” just to seize their land. And as proof, let me remind you of one specific case: César, also known as “El Mañas.” You lowlife—let people grow their businesses; and as for the farmers… don’t even get me started.

How many people have you killed just to collect protection fees? As of today, you have a new enemy—and that enemy is right here in Valparaíso.

And to you, gentlemen of the government: do you recall the meeting that took place at Sierra’s ranch—”El Niño Artillero”—right next to Sombrerete? The meeting attended by high-ranking officers from the State Police, the Prosecutor’s Office, and several members of the Municipal Police?

And you, Bunny—how does it feel riding around in that black BMW that Olegario gave you for your “protection”? The same goes for you, Rodrigo Reyes—aka “Hamburguesa.”

Here is the list of several police officers who are currently on the payroll of the MZ Cartel—an organization to which, as of this very day, we no longer belong. Arturo Medina Mayoral, Rafael Fuente Mendoza, Bunny Morales Sánchez, Gustavo Cerrano Sobio, Juan López Mandujano, Luis Enrique Parra González, Leo Pérez Portugal, Ricardo Díaz Salas, Alejandro Acosta Pozos, Hugo Zavaleta Aparicio, José Alberto Pérez Rivera, Miriam Guadalupe Zaveda, Suhaily Berenice Figueroa, and a few others whom I failed to mention.

These are some of the individuals who make up the armed wing of Los MZ. As of today, we are their enemies.

And you, Omar García Harfuch: stop sending equipment to the State Police, because the moment it reaches them, they run off to show it to Los MZ.

We respectfully ask that you allow us to fight against Los Mayos. Do not defend them. For their friends are our enemies. And if you do intend to launch an operation against me in order to defend them, we ask only that you play fair.

And while you’re at it, launch a massive, sweeping operation so that you may realize just how many public servants you will have to take down for corruption.

Here, I mention a few names: Rodrigo Reyes, aka “Hamburguesa”; Cristian Camacho Oslaya; Ernesto González Romo; Senator Verónica Díaz; Antonio Tizcareño De Anda, Mayor of Loreto; Pepe Saldívar, Mayor of Guadalupe; Rodrigo Ureño, Mayor of Jerez; Guadalupe Ortiz, Mayor of Valparaíso; and Ramiro Hinojosa, Mayor of Sombrerete.

That is the cesspool of corruption currently plaguing Zacatecas. Our war is not against the government; it is against Los Mayos and Cabrera.

We reiterate: Mayito Flaco and Cabrera, you now have one more enemy—and we’re coming for you. We extend our sincere thanks to the people who provided us with information. We remain at your service. Sincerely, The mobs of “El 71” and the “Old School” of 211.

Sicario scream: Long live the old school!
