Mahayla Benavides, a 32-year-old special education teacher, was arrested after being accused of repeatedly abusing a young boy at Stevens Elementary School. The abuse allegedly happened almost daily, sometimes up to five times a day, in a classroom time-out room. Police say they found videos of the acts, and the child told investigators she warned him not to tell anyone. |
